About Andrew
Raised in the glow of the Trudeau government, Andrew Lang was brought up on Liberal values and came to believe in Canada as a country of equality, of economic prosperity, and of deep commitment to community and to the world.
Andrew’s political career was launched at a Liberal rally he attended at the age of 6. Since that time, he has worked on more than 18 elections in a variety of capacities. This will be his first as a candidate.
A University of Toronto graduate (where he played for the Vanier Cup-winning Varsity Blues), Andrew’s employment history has spanned both the public and private sectors. Highlights of his political experience include several years spent managing the Toronto-Centre constituency office of Bill Graham, which inspired him to understand the powerful impact that a political representative can have on a community. His current role with the Ontario Chiropractic Association has provided him with deep insight into the state of the Canadian healthcare system.
Andrew looks forward to working with Toronto-Danforth residents to take back this riding for the Liberal Party of Canada. Andrew possesses three qualities that will help facilitate this feat: a solid understanding of the community, and of community issues; the ability to raise funds to fight an election both within and outside of the riding; and an unquenchable passion and enthusiasm for this community, its citizens, and the Liberal Party.
Andrew is a proud and committed resident of the vibrant and ever-changing riding of Toronto-Danforth.
